News Topical, Digital Desk : The police solved the murder case that took place in Mohan Garden area of Dwarka district within a few hours and arrested the accused and also recovered the knife used in the crime from him.
The accused arrested in this case has been identified as Tejraj Joshi alias Nepali (27 years old). He is originally from Nepal and currently lives on Jain Road, Bhagwati Garden Extension, Mohan Garden, Delhi.
The young man died during treatment
According to DCP Ankit Singh, police received a report of a fight in the Mohan Garden area on the night of October 4th and 5th. The injured youth, identified as Mohit (29), was taken to DDU Hospital in critical condition. During treatment, Mohit was referred to Safdarjung Hospital, where he later died.
The police registered a murder case and began an investigation. Given the seriousness of the matter, an investigation team consisting of SI Vidyakar Pathak, Head Constables Jitendra, Rakesh, Dharmendra, Ramesh, and Hetram was formed under the supervision of ACP Mahesh Narayan and led by SHO Mohan Garden Mukesh Antil.
A young man who tried to mediate a fight died.
Sunil, an eyewitness to the incident, said he was standing with his e-rickshaw on Polo Garden Road when Tejraj Nepali arrived and began arguing with him. When Mohit arrived and tried to intervene, the accused, enraged, stabbed him with a knife. Mohit was seriously injured in the stomach and later succumbed to his injuries.
Using mobile surveillance and local informants, the police traced the accused's location. After raids at several locations, Tejraj Nepali was finally arrested in the Mohan Garden area. During interrogation, he confessed to his crime.
The knife used in the crime was recovered from him. Police also seized the blood-stained clothing worn by the accused at the time of the incident. Police are currently investigating the matter further to determine the true cause of the altercation.
