News Topical, Digital Desk : The Delhi Police Crime Branch has achieved a major success by arresting a dangerous and convicted robber who had been terrorizing the capital. The accused, identified as Sanjay, was wanted in connection with three recent major armed robberies in Sonipat, Haryana, and the Bawana area of ​​Delhi.

According to the police, the Crime Branch received intelligence that the accused was about to arrive in the Rohini Sector-25 area with the intention of committing a crime. Based on the information, a special team was formed and the area was closely monitored. Using technical surveillance and a trap, the police quickly surrounded and apprehended the accused. During the arrest, the accused was captured by the police team before he could attempt any escape.

He was out on bail from the High Court

The investigation revealed that Sanjay had previously been convicted of serious crimes. He was convicted in a rape and POCSO Act case and was currently out on bail from the High Court. He also had a theft case registered against him. During interrogation, the accused revealed that he carried out the crimes with his associates, Rahul alias Chiku and Sahil.

All incidents were carried out at gunpoint.The consequences given

Sanjay admitted to carrying out three major robberies in the Bawana area, including the robbery of approximately ₹ 4.20 lakh from a money transfer shop and the robbery of a bag containing ₹ 1.60 lakh and 50 mobile phones from another shop. All incidents were carried out at gunpoint, creating a constant state of terror in the area.

Raids are being conducted in search of absconding associates

The Delhi Police arrested the accused under Section 35(1)( c) of the BNSS and presented him in court. The police hope that this arrest will not only solve the recent incidents but also uncover many other cases. The accused is currently being interrogated, and raids are being conducted to search for his absconding associates.
