News Topical, Digital Desk : Another henchman of Salim Dola, the mastermind of Dawood Ibrahim's drug syndicate, has been arrested. He has been identified as Mohammed Salim Mohammed Sohail Sheikh. He has been extradited from Dubai to India. Recently, the Central Investigation Agency (ED) conducted raids in connection with the drug syndicate; Salim Dola's son, Tahir Salim Dola, and nephew, Mustafa Kubbawala, have already been arrested for their involvement in the drug syndicate.

In February of last year, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch arrested a woman named Parveen Bano Ghulam Shaikh in the Chembur area of ​​Mumbai and recovered 641 grams of MD. During the investigation, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch learned of a factory in Sangli linked to a drug syndicate. The police investigation revealed that this drug syndicate was linked to Salim Dola, who oversees underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's drug syndicate in India.

How many accused have been arrested so far?

During the investigation, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch recovered and seized MD drugs worth ₹252 crore. Fifteen accused, including Mohammed Sahil Shaikh, have been arrested in this case, including a woman. In addition, three accused in this entire drug case were arrested from abroad and brought to India: Salim Dola's son, Tahir Salim Dola, his nephew, Mustafa, and this third accused, Sohail Shaikh.

How was Dawood's henchman arrested?

Regarding the arrested accused, Mohammed Sahil Sohail Shaikh, Mumbai Police Crime Branch DCP Vishal Thakur said that he oversaw the operations of every factory in India and served as a distributor of goods in other states, including Rajasthan and Gujarat. A Red Corner Notice had been issued against the accused, and he was arrested in Dubai in connection with another case, after which the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, through sister agencies, arranged his extradition.

Sent to custody till 30th

This accused had been working as a distributor for this syndicate for the past three to four years. Action is being taken against all the accused arrested in this case under the NDPS Act and SAFEMA, and their property worth approximately ₹7 crore has been seized. The arrested accused was produced in court by the police, where he was remanded to the custody of the Crime Branch until the 30th, and is being interrogated regarding matters related to this syndicate.
