New Delhi: The Sri Lankan cricket team defeated India by 32 runs in the second match of the three-match ODI series on Sunday. Sri Lanka's victory came after 1108 days against India, as they last defeated India in July 2021.

The first ODI of the three-match ODI series was a tie and now Sri Lanka has taken a 1-0 lead by winning the second ODI. This means that India will have to win the third and final ODI to level the series, which will be held on Wednesday, i.e. 7 August. In the third ODI, the Indian team captained by Rohit Sharma would like to maintain its 27-year-old record.

Captain Rohit scored a half-century in 29 balls. He scored the highest 64 runs in 44 balls in the match. Apart from him, Akshar scored 44 and Gill scored 35 runs.
