Vote theft is a threat to democracy: Deepak Bhati
According to reports, District Congress President Deepak Bhati Chotiwala, who led the protest, said that there is no place for dishonesty in democracy. Incidents like vote theft and EVM tampering are an institutionalized abrogation of democracy. He alleged that the government is violating the fundamental spirit of the Constitution and that the Election Commission has now become an ally of the ruling party. Deepak Bhati further stated that youth must now step forward and raise questions. If top officials of constitutional institutions continue to evade accountability, the country will once again slide into anarchy.
Noida Metropolitan President Mukesh Yadav said that if vote theft continues, democracy becomes meaningless. The public is struggling with unemployment, corruption, and poverty, while the government is busy protecting power.
