On the first day of the winter session, Indian National Congress MP Renuka Chowdhary arrived at the Parliamentary meeting with her pet dog. Jagdambika Pal, the Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Dumariyaganj, Uttar Pradesh, sharply criticized Chowdhary's move, demanding action. Renuka also offered an explanation after the Dumariaganj MP demanded action. Regarding the MP bringing the dog, BJP MP Pal said that what Renuka Chaudhary had done was an abuse of privilege.
