While everyone is praising Aryan for his brilliant take on Bollywood culture, some people aren't happy with it. Comedian Sunil Pal has now publicly targeted Aryan, accusing him of disrespecting the same film industry that built his father's legacy.
Shah Rukh Khan was also roasted
Speaking on a Pinkvilla podcast, Aryan said, "You're criticizing Bollywood, the same Bollywood that made your father such a big superstar." There's no doubt that Aryan Khan has been the king of Bollywood for the past 30 years. He's delivered numerous blockbuster films. Aryan Khan roasted numerous Bollywood actors in his series, including Shah Rukh Khan. None of the Bollywood actors featured in the series seemed offended.
Aryan could have sat for five more years
But comedian Sunil Pal feels Aryan should have done something else instead. He said, “Aryan Khan had no shortage of fame, money, or a platform. He could have spent five more years at home and done something that even Sanjay Leela Bhansali would have praised.”
Who all appeared in the series?
Starring several Bollywood stars such as Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, and Manoj Pahwa, the show, currently streaming on Netflix, tells the story of an outsider's struggle to establish himself in Bollywood and grapple with internal politics and rivalries.
