After the inauguration of the Chenab Bridge, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated India's first 'cable-stayed' railway bridge over the Anji River in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi reached the 'View Point' near the world's highest railway bridge over Chenab river and was briefed about the project which is crucial for connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country by rail.

CM Yogi wrote that today is a historic day for Jammu and Kashmir, a state blessed by the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi. The inauguration of the world's tallest railway arch bridge 'Chenab Bridge' and India's first cable-stayed rail bridge 'Anji Bridge' in Jammu and Kashmir by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a symbol of the amazing engineering skills and infinite potential of 'New India'.
The CM wrote that both these bridges and two new Vande Bharat Express trains will provide a fast, comfortable and reliable travel experience to pilgrims, tourists and common citizens, this will also open new doors for socio-economic change.
He wrote that today, under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, the Kashmir Valley has been connected to the country's rail network. This is indeed a huge celebration of India's unity and indomitable willpower, as well as a perfect example of 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat'.
