News Topical, Digital Desk : The police has taken Rajosh Khimji, the accused of attacking Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, on a five-day remand. He was produced before the duty magistrate late on Wednesday (August 20), in which he was granted a five-day remand. Now the police will interrogate him and extract all the secrets and try to find out what his intention was? Was this a well-planned conspiracy and are other people also involved in this incident?

There are many questions whose answers are necessary as soon as possible, because the security of the Chief Minister is a serious issue. Delhi Police has registered a case of attempted murder against the accused attacker Rajesh Khimji. The accused is a resident of Rajkot, Gujarat, so Delhi Police was also in constant touch with the Gujarat Police. Investigation revealed that Rajesh Khimji has a criminal record. Five criminal cases were registered against him. 

Rekha Gupta was attacked during public hearing.
Actually, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta meets the public on Wednesday and listens to their applications. This public hearing takes place at her CM residence. During this, the general public stands in a queue and waits for their turn and then meets the Chief Minister and shares their problems. The attacker Rajesh Khimji was also standing in this queue. When his turn came, he went to CM Rekha Gupta and attacked her. 

In this attack, the CM suffered minor injuries on his shoulder and head. However, the attack was extremely serious. BJP leaders and ministers claimed that this was not a small attack but an attack with the intention of murder. 

Security arrangements are also questioned.
The country's capital Delhi and the Chief Minister's residence in Delhi should be a priority in terms of security. However, in such a situation, the attack on the CM himself raises many questions. How did such a big lapse happen in the Chief Minister's security? Who is responsible for this? The police is also investigating all this.

Meanwhile, leaders of opposition parties also expressed concern and asked that when the woman Chief Minister of Delhi is not safe in her own residence, then the concern for the safety of common women increases further. 

Claim of being a dog lover
On one hand, Bhanu Ben, mother of the accused attacker Rajesh Khimji, claimed that her son is an animal lover and had gone to meet CM Rekha Gupta in Delhi with the issue of safety of dogs. On the other hand, it came to light that Rajesh Khimji has a criminal history. He has done recce of the CM residence, made videos and he has also spent a night in Civil Lines before the attack. Now the police is engaged in solving the case by conducting a thorough investigation.
