News Topical, Digital Desk : MP News: A cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday (July 9) under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Many important decisions were taken in this meeting. This includes many decisions including recruitment on about 50 thousand new regular posts in power distribution companies. 

In the cabinet meeting, the Council of Ministers approved the use of Rs 1038 crore out of Rs 1478 crore 38 lakh for the implementation of works approved in the Annual Plan of Operation for the year 2025-26 for the Compensatory Afforestation Fund (CAMPA Fund). 80 percent of this amount is spent on forest and wildlife management and 20 percent on strengthening forest and wildlife related infrastructure.

According to the approval, works related to maintenance of works done in the past years in Madhya Pradesh, compensatory plantation, improvement of degraded forests on the basis of landscape, afforestation of catchment areas of rivers for their revival, soil and water conservation works, plantation of trees including bamboo species in forest areas adjoining the boundaries of villages for livelihood of villagers, voluntary displacement from villages in wildlife protected areas, development of residences in protected areas including buffer zone, establishment of city forests, strengthening of forest and wildlife related infrastructure and capacity development of villagers will be done.

Establishment of 66 new Anganwadi Centres, creation of 134 posts approved:
The Cabinet approved the establishment, operation and construction of 66 new Anganwadi Centres under Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan in Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 Scheme. As per the approval, creation of 66 posts of Anganwadi Worker (Mansevic), 66 posts of Anganwadi Assistant (Mansevic) and 02 posts of Supervisor for supervision of Anganwadi Centres, regular government servant post with pay scale of Rs.25,300-80,500 were approved for operation of 66 Anganwadi Centres.

From the year 2025-26 to 2028-29, the amount will be spent on the scheme as per the approval received from the Government of India. An expenditure of Rs 15 crore 21 lakh is estimated on the scheme during the mentioned period, in which the central share is Rs 9 crore 55 lakh and the state share is Rs 5 crore 66 lakh.

Approval for development of Lake View Residency Hotel Bhopal
The Council of Ministers has given approval for reimbursement of registration and stamp duty charged on the lease to be executed by Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) / Madhya Pradesh Hotel Corporation Limited (MPHCL) in favor of a private investor for development, operation, maintenance and management of Lake View Residency Hotel Bhopal under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer (DBFOT) basis, from the departmental budget of the Tourism Department.

Approval of about 50 thousand posts in power distribution companies:
The cabinet approved the creation of an organizational structure of a total of 77 thousand 298 posts, including 49 thousand 263 new posts to be created in the organizational structure of the three power distribution companies. As a result of the creation of regular posts, 17 thousand 620 unused posts from the previously approved posts have been abolished and after the retirement and resignation of personnel working on 5650 posts in the dying cadre, these posts will also be abolished. 

These posts will be taken into consideration while calculating the posts for direct recruitment by the companies. Personnel working on contract basis in power distribution companies will be able to work till they attain the prescribed age limit or till they are selected for a regular direct recruitment post. While calculating the vacancies for direct recruitment on regular posts by the companies, direct recruitment can be done on the remaining vacant posts by reducing the number of contract personnel working on the equivalent post at that time. The Energy Department has been authorized to recruit personnel from time to time in accordance with the organizational structure of the distribution companies.

Approval of procurement of summer moong and urad:
The cabinet has provided free government guarantee for procurement of summer moong and urad from Rabi marketing year 2023-24 to 2025-26 under Price Support Scheme (PSS) of Government of India and approval for summer moong procured in excess of target in Rabi marketing year 2024-25. Also, it has been decided that in summer year 2024-25 (marketing year 2025-26), procurement of moong and urad from registered farmers will be done by state procurement agency Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation Limited.
