News Topical, Digital Desk : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has stated that the Bastar region will experience all-round development. He stated that Naxalism in the state is on the verge of extinction, and that rapid development will be visible in the Bastar region. Chief Minister Sai today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹284 crore at a program held in Pakhanjoor, Kanker district.

Chief Minister Sai also made various announcements for the development of the people of Paralkot area in the program organized at Netaji Subhash Stadium, in which he announced to start education in Bengali language from the new academic session in the primary schools of 135 villages of Bang Samaj.

Announcement to set up generic medical stores

He announced construction of road from Sambalpur to Pakhanjur via Durgukundal, Gauravpath from Mandi Gate of Pakhanjur to Anjadi Nala, CC road from Machhali Market Pakhanjur to Nar-Narayan Seva Ashram, construction of boundary wall in Government Girls School ground, starting fire brigade vehicle service in Pakhanjur and setting up Dhanvantari Generic Medical Stores in Civil Hospital Pakhanjur. 

Mention of social welfare and government schemes

While extending Makar Sankranti greetings to the public, the Chief Minister said that the state government is steadily moving forward towards development with a strong will to ensure cleanliness and transparency in administrative work. Sai stated that the state government is working rapidly in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pledges.

In a short span of two years, the state government has approved 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, as a result of which 08 lakh beneficiaries have taken possession of their houses so far.

70 lakh women are benefiting from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana.

Similarly, 7 million women are benefiting from the Mahatari Vandana Yojana. Several important schemes, such as Niyyad Nellanar, Dharti Aba Abhiyan, and PM Janman Abhiyan, are being implemented in tribal-dominated areas, which have accelerated development efforts.

The Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme has been relaunched. 21 quintals of paddy per acre is being purchased from hardworking farmers at a rate of ₹3,100 per quintal. Kanker MP Bhojraj Nag and Antagarh MLA Vikramdev Usendi also addressed the program.  

Salute to Nar-Narayan Seva Ashram and the martyrs

Chief Minister Sai visited the Nar Narayan Seva Ashram, offered prayers, and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. He said that this ashram, established with the motto "Service to man is service to Narayan," is performing the virtuous work of promoting faith and tradition.

There, he ritually worshipped the oil painting and statue of Swami Satyanand Paramhansa, the founder of the ashram. He then offered flowers to the statue of Gaind Singh, a revolutionary martyr of the Parkot rebellion, located on the main road to Pakhanjoor.

On this occasion, MLA Asharam Netam, State Handicraft Board Chairperson Mrs. Shalini Rajput, District Panchayat Chairperson Mrs. Kiran Nareti, former MP Mohan Mandavi, former MLA Manturam Pawar along with local public representatives and a large number of area residents were present.
