News Topical, Digital Desk : Organizing a get-together on school premises proved costly for a teacher in Surat, Gujarat. The Municipal Primary Education Committee has suspended the teacher. The committee accused him of serving non-vegetarian food and organizing the event on school premises.
Originally an English-medium school, this school previously offered Telugu language classes, which were later discontinued, according to Rajendra Kapadia, president of the Municipal Primary Education Committee.
Know the whole matter
According to reports, Prabhakar, the teacher in charge of the school, previously taught Telugu. After Telugu was discontinued as a subject, he was appointed in charge of the English-medium school.
Rajendra Kapadia, president of the Municipal Primary Education Committee, said that School No. 342 had organized a get-together on the school premises for alumni who had passed out 9-10 years ago. During the party, they served chicken dishes to the guests.

According to news agency PTI, Kapadia, chairman of the Municipal Primary Education Committee, said he learned about the event through social media. After contacting the school in-charge and verifying the veracity of the news, he ordered strict action against teacher Prabhakar and decided to suspend him.
