
News Topical, Digital Desk : After the encounter between security forces and Maoists in the dense forests of Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh ended, all the soldiers have returned to the headquarters. So far, the bodies of a total of 6 Maoists have been recovered in the encounter, including three female Maoists.
AK-47, SLR rifle, BGL launcher, explosive material and many items used in Maoist activities were recovered from the encounter site.
This action is being considered a big success of the security forces against the Maoists in a sensitive area like Abujhmad. According to the Bastar IG, the security agencies had received concrete information about the presence of Maoists in the Abujhmad area.
After this, joint teams of STF, DRG and BSF personnel of security forces started a search operation in the area. On Friday, intermittent firing continued throughout the day and the security forces tightened the noose around the Maoists by surrounding the area from all sides.
A reward of Rs 8 lakh has been announced on all of them
The bodies of the Maoists killed in the encounter were brought to the district headquarters Narayanpur on Saturday. A total of 6 Maoists, including the body of PLGA Company Number One's DVCM Commander Rahul Punem, were brought to the Narayanpur Police Line. These include three female Maoists.
The bodies of all the killed Maoists have been identified. These include DVCM commander Rahul Punem, Unga Tati, Manisha, Harish alias Kosa, Budhri Kadam, Tati Meena of PLGA Company Number One. All of them were platoon members of PLGA Company Number One, a reward of Rs 8 lakh was announced on all of them.
Getting success in Operation Monsoon
Bastar IG Sundarraj P said that the security forces have recovered a large number of weapons, ammunition, Maoist literature and items of daily use from the spot, which confirms that they have been camping in the forest for a long time. This entire operation has been carried out under 'Operation Monsoon'. Bastar IG said that even in the rainy season, the pace of the operation will not slow down, but will be accelerated.
