New Delhi: American software giant Cognizant has filed a lawsuit against Infosys. This lawsuit has been filed in a federal court in Texas. Let us tell you that Infosys is India's leading IT company.

Cognizant has alleged that Infosys has stolen the secrets of Cognizant Healthcare Insurance Software. Cognizant Company is based in New Jersey. More than 70 percent of Cognizant's employees work outside India.

Infosys has denied Cognizant's allegations. The company said it will defend itself in court.

Infosys spokesperson also said in his statement that we are aware of the lawsuit and deny these allegations. We will defend these allegations in court.

What was the allegation against Infosys

Cognizant has claimed that Infosys illegally extracted the database and used it to develop new software. Infosys used this new software to sell in the market.

According to Cognizant, Infosys misused TriZetto's software to develop "test cases for facets". Infosys improperly used TriZetto's data to build its own products.

Cognizant has also alleged that Infosys has violated the law by creating software to extract data from QNXT. Infosys has extracted confidential information and trade secrets which is a violation of the law.

Cognizant's software includes TriJetto's Facets and QNXT. It is used by health insurance companies to conduct administrative tasks.
