News Topical, Digital Desk : The shooting at America's prestigious Brown University campus has shaken the nation. On Saturday, during an exam, an attacker entered the engineering building and opened fire indiscriminately, killing two students and injuring nine others. Now the FBI has released a new video timeline and a slightly better photo of the suspect, showing him wandering around campus. A man previously arrested has been released, and the search has resumed. The incident occurred on the afternoon of December 13th, as students were preparing for final exams. The attacker fired a 9mm pistol into a classroom and fled. The campus was put on lockdown for hours, with students hiding in their rooms or huddled under furniture.

FBI releases new video

The FBI has released new video of the suspect, who appears to be walking the streets near campus starting around 2 p.m. Saturday. He is dressed in dark clothing, his face covered with a mask, or facing away from the camera.

The video shows him walking for about an hour through the streets a few blocks from the engineering building. The suspect is described as being about 5 feet 8 inches tall and of a stocky build.

A man was initially detained as a suspect, but the investigation proved him innocent and he was released. Now, investigating agencies are searching for a new suspect.

The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information. Police have reported receiving about 200 tips and are urging people to check camera footage from their homes or shops.

Who is Mustafa Kharbouch, on whom the needle of suspicion is pointing?

Amid the shooting, rumors are circulating on social media that the university has deleted the online profile of a student, Mustafa Kharbouch, making him a suspect. However, law enforcement agencies have not named any suspects and there has been no official confirmation of this claim.

The student, Mustafa Kharbouch, is said to be a first-year student at the university, studying International and Public Affairs. His now-removed university profile described him as a "third-generation Palestinian refugee, born and raised in Lebanon."

It further read, "After receiving a scholarship at UWC Maastricht, he led and facilitated community-building and social change initiatives."

The university issued a statement saying that a member of their community was being subjected to "harmful doxing" (publicizing personal information) following the shooting and that they were taking steps to preserve their online presence for their safety. However, many users considered the removal of the profile suspicious.
