Eyewitness told the whole truth
Manoj Singh, an eyewitness present at the scene, said that there was a huge crowd at the time of the incident. We were all standing in line. During this time, a Kanwadia got into an argument with a shopkeeper selling flowers and garlands over something.
Soon both of them started hitting each other with sticks, due to which the devotees standing in the queue started running back and people started falling on each other. The people who fell down did not get a chance to get up, due to which many people died and many were injured.
Manoj said that the incident took place near the flower shop located at the top of the temple premises. This incident happened because of the shopkeeper and the Kanwadiya using sticks.
Manoj said that he was also caught in the stampede but somehow managed to save himself with the help of his friends. I too have sustained injuries. He claimed that around 50 to 60 people are injured in this accident.
Administration accused of negligence
Manoj Singh has accused the police administration of negligence. He said that a large number of policemen were present outside the temple premises, but no one was present at the scene of the incident.
He said that if the police had been present at the scene of the incident, the fight between the Kanwadia and the shopkeeper would not have happened and if the fight had not happened, such an incident would not have occurred.
