National News : Big news has come out from Bihar's police department. The dynamic IPS officer and SP of Darbhanga Rural, Kamya Mishra, has resigned from the job. Kamya Mishra has resigned due to personal reasons. She has sent a copy of the resignation to the police headquarters. However, the police headquarters has not yet approved the resignation.

Who is Kamya Mishra?

Kamya Mishra is famous as Lady Singham. She is originally from Odisha and was very smart in studies since childhood. She passed the 12th examination with 98 per cent marks. After this, she also cracked UPSC in the first attempt. She became an IPS officer at the age of just 22. 

Kamya graduated from Delhi University's famous Lady Shriram College and started preparing for UPSC during the same time. In the year 2019, she secured 172nd rank in this exam and was selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS).

Initially, she got into the Himachal cadre, but then she took her transferred to the Bihar cadre. Kamya Mishra's husband Awadhesh Saroj is also an IPS officer. He is a 2021 batch Bihar cadre police officer. The couple got married in Udaipur. Kamya's husband Awadhesh also did B.Tech from IIT Bombay.

Kamya Mishra has also been in the headlines in Patna for her work. Before Darbhanga, Kamya Mishra was the DSP of Patna Secretariat.
