News Topical, Digital Desk : There is a strong possibility of monsoon becoming more active in Bihar on Friday. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in South Bihar today and most of the districts including the capital Patna are expected to remain cloudy throughout the day with intermittent rainfall. However, there is a possibility of rain in most of the districts of North Bihar on Friday as well.

Yellow alert for rain from 7:32 am to 10:32 am

According to the Meteorological Center Patna, heavy rain warning has been issued in 13 districts of the state today. Very heavy rain has been predicted in some places in Gaya, Nawada, Vaishali, Aurangabad and Lakhisarai districts, while heavy rain warning has been issued in the capital Patna, Nalanda, Samastipur, Munger, Kaimur, Khagaria, Rohtas and Jamui districts. There is a strong possibility of thunder, lightning and thunderstorms in most of these districts. A yellow alert has been issued for rain from 7:32 am to 10:32 am in some parts of Patna district.

However, heavy rainfall has been predicted in almost all the districts of South Bihar and in the western region of North Bihar, East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran and strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour along with thunderstorms at some places. There is a strong possibility of moderate rainfall in Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Shivhar, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Samastipur in the central region of North Bihar. On the coming Saturday also, warning of rain has been issued in most of the districts of the state throughout the day and South Bihar is expected to be more active.

Last Thursday, Madhubani recorded the highest rainfall of 75 mm, while Supaul 61, Araria 55.4, Jehanabad 52.2, Katihar 51, Phulwari Sharif of Patna district 44.6, Sampatchak 40.02, Fatuha 37.02 and Patna urban area recorded 37.01 mm rainfall. Moderate rainfall was recorded in Banka with 42.8, Gopalganj 41.6, Darbhanga 36.4, Nalanda 30.4, Sheikhpura 29.6 mm. In the late evening, an orange alert was issued for Siwan, Muzaffarpur, Saran, Samastipur, Aurangabad, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Purnia, Kaimur, Rohtas till 12:00 midnight. Moderate rainfall was recorded in these districts.

The highest temperature was recorded in Valmiki Nagar

On Thursday, very few districts recorded rainfall during the day and there was no significant change in temperature. The highest temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius in Balmiki Nagar while the capital Patna recorded 34 degrees Celsius. Temperatures between 32 and 33 degrees were recorded in most districts of the state. There is a strong possibility of a drop in temperature on Friday.
