News Topical, Digital Desk : Summer Special Trains: In view of the heavy rush of passengers during summer holidays, the Railways has given a big relief to the passengers of Bihar. East Central Railway has announced the operation of four summer special trains connecting Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Saharsa and Gaya, which will run from major stations like Delhi, Anand Bihar and Udhna. All these trains will run for a limited period between May to July 2025, so that passengers can easily get confirmed tickets and long distance travel can be facilitated. Know what is the route and schedule of the new summer special trains.

Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Summer Special (05219/05220)

1. Will run once a week (Saturday/Sunday).

2. Stoppage at stations like Patliputra, Hajipur, DDU and Prayagraj.

3. Will run from 24th May to 20th July.

Delhi-Darbhanga Summer Special (04072/04071)

1. Will run every Monday and Thursday (from Delhi) and Tuesday and Friday (from Darbhanga).

2. It will stop at many stations including Samastipur, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur.

3.In service from 19 May to 11 July.

New Delhi-Saharsa Summer Special (04058/04057)

1. It will run from New Delhi on Tuesday and Friday, from Saharsa on Wednesday and Saturday.

2. Many stops on the way including Hajipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria, Mansi.

3. Operating from 20th May to 12th July.

Udhna-Gaya Summer Special (09039/09040)

1. Will run every Friday (from Udhna) and Sunday (from Gaya).

2. Via Bhusaval, Jabalpur, Prayagraj, DDU, Sasaram, Dehri on Sone.

3. Will run from 23 May to 29 June.

Why are these trains important?

Every year during summer vacations, due to rush in trains, passengers have to face the problem of long waiting lists and non-availability of tickets. Many people are unable to fulfill their desire to visit their favorite places even after planning. Keeping this in mind, East Central Railway has started summer special trains. These additional trains will provide great relief especially to the people working outside Bihar and students.
