News Topical, Digital Desk : Bhadohi Fire: A massive fire broke out in a cotton factory in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. In this factory, cotton was made from the scraps of carpet and woolen threads. The fire brigade personnel who arrived after getting the information of the fire, controlled the fire after hours of hard work. In this incident of arson, the cotton making machines, carpet waste (raw material) bujbun and a four wheeler pickup vehicle were burnt to ashes. The loss in this incident is estimated to be around Rs 50 lakh.

Carpet cuttings and woolen threads were collected from various areas at Ramlila ground located in Rajpura of Bhadohi Kotwali area. A small cotton factory was established there. Cotton used in mattresses was made in the factory. Suddenly a huge fire broke out in the carpet cuttings, which created panic in the entire area. Fire brigade personnel somehow controlled the fire by reaching the spot. During this, a pickup vehicle also caught fire.

The factory was closed at the time of the incident.
Cotton factory owner Mohammad Roshan Ali alias Roshan Kabadi has said that the factory was closed when the fire broke out, only two workers work. More than 10 workers and their families live here during the season. We have been working here for the last 5 to 6 years and pay the rent to hotel operator Prashant Gupta.

What did the fire officer say?
Fire officer Om Prakash Mathur said that there is a cotton manufacturing factory running on the Ramlila ground. It is said that some miscreants set fire here. At this time very hot winds are blowing due to which the fire spread rapidly. It took several hours to extinguish the fire, only then it was brought under control. The fire officer said that machines and goods worth several lakhs have been burnt to ashes, the exact assessment of which is being done.
