News Topical, Digital Desk : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Delhi-Dehradun Greenfield Highway in the town of Biharigarh on April 14th. A public meeting will also be held during the event. A large number of VIPs and dignitaries, as well as the general public, will attend. In view of the event, the Saharanpur Traffic Police have implemented traffic diversions.

Diversion will be in effect till 4 pm on April 14. 

SP Traffic Shailendra Srivastava said that the diversion will be implemented from 6 pm on Sunday evening until 4 pm on April 14th. Drivers of vehicles coming from different districts and states will have to take the diverted routes. If they do not follow the routes issued by the traffic police, they may face difficulties.

Route changes for Muzaffarnagar, Deoband and Saharanpur

In view of the inauguration of the Delhi-Dehradun Greenfield Highway, traffic has been diverted in the district. Traffic Superintendent Shailendra Srivastava stated that all vehicles traveling from Muzaffarnagar to Dehradun will be diverted via Rampur Tiraha (Muzaffarnagar) and Malira Cut (Muzaffarnagar) via Purkaji, Mangalore, and then to Roorkee and Haridwar.

Vehicles traveling from Deoband and Nangal to Dehradun will travel via the Kolki bypass cut, Gagalheri, Bhagwanpur, and then towards Roorkee and Haridwar. All vehicles, large and small, traveling from Saharanpur to Dehradun have been diverted from the town of Gagalheri via the Bhagwanpur intersection, then from Bhagwanpur to Roorkee and Haridwar.

Route change for Behat, Yamunanagar and Delhi

Vehicles traveling from Behat to Dehradun via Chhutmalpur will be diverted via the Barkalan underpass via Bhagwanpur to Roorkee and Haridwar. Vehicles traveling from Yamunanagar to Dehradun will proceed via Paonta Sahib to Dehradun. All vehicles traveling from Dehradun via Biharigarh to Saharanpur will be diverted via Rishikesh and Haridwar to Roorkee.

Vehicles heading towards Dehradun from Delhi and Shamli will travel via the cut near the town of Babri on the Shamli-Muzaffarnagar bypass, via the Muzaffarnagar highway, via Roorkee and Haridwar, towards Dehradun. SP Traffic Shailendra Srivastava said that to avoid inconvenience, drivers will not face any problems if they travel on the diverted routes. 

Four thousand policemen will be deployed 

Four thousand police personnel will be deployed for the Prime Minister's security. Forces have been called in from the Agra, Meerut, and Bareilly zones. Reinforcements have also been called in from the RAF in Meerut. ADG, DIG, SSP, SP, and CO rank officers are also on duty. Parking arrangements have been made within a two-kilometer radius of the venue. Everyone will be required to undergo a security check before entering the venue.

The public will have to cross a five-layer security ring to enter the venue. For security purposes, strict security measures will be in place from the helipad to the venue, including the deployment of snipers and forest personnel. CCTV cameras have also been installed at the public meeting venue and along the VVIP route.
