Heavy firing occurred at the army camp late Thursday night. The sounds of several grenade explosions were heard, spreading panic among local residents. It is reported that the firing continued for about an hour near the Kakopathar army camp late last night.
Grenades were thrown at the camp of the 19 Grenadiers unit.
According to initial information, grenades were thrown around midnight targeting the camp of the Indian Army's 19 Grenadiers unit in Kakopathar. Three Army soldiers were killed in the blast. The injured soldiers have been hospitalized.

Following the attack on the army camp, the army and police have cordoned off the area. Civilian movement has been restricted near the site of the attack. Army personnel are keeping a close watch on every inch of the area.
This suspicion is being expressed behind the attack
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However, it is suspected that the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA)-(Independent) faction is behind the grenade attack. Earlier on Wednesday, suspected militants of the NSCN (K-YA) faction attacked an Assam Rifles camp in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district. The camp was located in Hatman village in the Manmao area of the district.
