News Topical, Digital Desk : Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has been consistently reacting to the prohibition law implemented in Bihar. With the formation of the new government in the state, he is once again speaking out about prohibition. On Friday (December 12, 2025), at Patna Airport, he stated that the prohibition law is fine, but it is also crucial to implement it properly, which is not happening.
Manjhi said that the prohibition law in Bihar is being implemented in two ways. Rich and wealthy people are not caught in alcohol cases, while poor people are the most frequently arrested. He demanded that the government completely eliminate all cases filed against poor people for alcohol. Now the question is whether Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will agree?
The Union Minister said, "I also come from a family in Bihar where liquor was made and sold, but I never drank liquor, that is why I am at this position. A person who drinks liquor becomes a demon."
He further said, "I have high hopes from Samrat Chaudhary... Eliminate the liquor smugglers and take bulldozer action on their properties. If Samrat Chaudhary is given a free hand to stop the liquor mafia, it will end."

On the other hand, in response to a post by Lalu Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya, Manjhi said, "Where is Rohini Acharya's problem? Rohini Acharya has a problem in her own home; daughters in Bihar don't have a problem. The Bihar government is paying special attention to the safety of girls. The Bihar government has asked criminals to leave Bihar."
Meanwhile, Shivanand Tiwari questioned Tejashwi Yadav's decision to leave Bihar. Jitan Ram Manjhi responded, "I call him Baba. Baba should have taught Tejashwi a lesson earlier. He's now teaching him when the matter is over."
