News Topical, Digital Desk : The ruling Mahayuti alliance has performed resoundingly in the Maharashtra municipal body (municipal council and town council) elections. The Mahayuti has so far won over 200 of the 288 seats. Following this landslide victory, Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his gratitude to the people of Maharashtra. He described this victory as a triumph of the public welfare vision of the NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Amit Shah congratulated and expressed gratitude

In his post on Instagram, he said, "I am grateful to the people of the state for their overwhelming support to the Mahayuti in the Maharashtra Nagar Panchayat and Nagar Parishad elections. This victory is a public blessing for the NDA government's vision for the welfare of all sections of society under the leadership of Modi." He congratulated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar, along with all NDA workers, for this victory.

BJP emerged as the largest party

BJP has emerged as the largest party in Maharashtra municipal elections. Amit Shah congratulated BJP state president Ravindra Chavan and party workers on BJP winning the maximum number of seats. Till the time of writing this news, the Mahayuti alliance has won more than 200 seats out of 288 municipal bodies in the state. BJP has become the largest party by winning 118 bodies. Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has won 59 seats so far. Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) of Ajit Pawar faction has got 37 seats.
