News Topical, Digital Desk : Sad news is coming from the South Indian film industry. Renowned Malayalam actor Srinivasan passed away on December 20th after a prolonged illness. The actor's death has sent shockwaves through the industry. Stars and fans are mourning the loss of their favorite actor and paying tribute to him.

The actor breathed his last at the age of 69.

According to Onmanorama.com, 69-year-old Malayalam actor-writer and filmmaker Srinivasan had been suffering from a long-term illness and was undergoing treatment at his home in Udayamperoor, Kerala. After his health suddenly deteriorated, he was admitted to a hospital in Tripunithura, where he passed away at 8:22 am.

Currently, the Malayalam actor's body is being kept at the taluk hospital. No information has yet been released regarding his last rites. He leaves behind his wife, Vimala, and two children. Srinivasan's elder son, Vineeth Srinivasan, is a singer and actor-producer. His younger son, Dhyan Srinivasan, also followed in his father's footsteps and made a name for himself.

Born in Pattyam, near Thalassery in the Kannur district of Kerala, Sreenivasan was one of the most powerful actors in Malayalam cinema. Sreenivasan wrote the story for several films, including Odaruthamma Aalariyam, Sanmanasullavarkku Samadhanam, Gandhinagar 2nd Street, and Pattanapravesham. He was also honored with the Kerala State Award for his films Sandesham and Mazhayethum Munpe.

The actor, who has appeared in over 225 films, has been honored with numerous awards, including the National Film Award, the Kerala State Film Award, the Kerala Film Critics Association Award, the Filmfare Award South, and the Asianet Film Award. As an actor, Sreenivasan has appeared in films such as Manimuzhakkam, Sneha Yamuna, Ona Pudava, and Sanghaganam.
