News Topical, Digital Desk : Shilpa Shetty has once again found herself embroiled in a major controversy. While reports emerged of Income Tax raids at her home and the Bastian Hotel in Mumbai, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has added Section 420 to the case after uncovering evidence of a ₹60 crore fraud.

Raj Kundra has already responded to the cheating allegations on social media, denying them. Following him, actress Shilpa Shetty recently broke her silence on the "cheating" allegations, revealing the full truth for the first time.

Shilpa said I did not have any authority

Shilpa Shetty recently spoke openly about the allegations of fraud worth Rs 60 crore, saying, “I am deeply saddened by the attempts to forcefully link my name to this matter. My involvement with this company was completely non-executive. I had no role in finance, decision-making, or any signing authority. Like many stars, I also endorsed a few products for the home shopping channel, within a professional context, for which I still have not received my payment.”

A loan of 20 crores has been given

Shilpa Shetty also clarified in this statement that she herself had given the loan. The actress said, "I want to put on record that as a family, we also gave the company a loan of approximately 20 crore rupees, but that money is still outstanding. The attempt to frame me for criminal charges after nine years of unnecessary delay is completely wrong and against the principles of law."

Despite knowing all the facts, my name is being unnecessarily dragged into this proceeding repeatedly, which is both sad and wrong. Such allegations not only distort the truth but also unfairly damage the dignity, integrity, and respect of a woman in the public domain.

Heartfelt words from the verse of Bhagavad Gita

Shilpa Shetty expressed her grief in her statement, saying, "As stated in the Bhagavad Gita, it is your duty to raise your voice against injustice, and failing to do so is itself adharma. I have already filed a petition in the Honorable Bombay High Court. I have full faith in the judicial process and will take legal action to protect my rights and self-respect. I respectfully request the media to take note of these facts, verify them, and report them responsibly."
