News Topical, Digital Desk :  A political battle has erupted in the US over the Epstein Files. Public anger has also flared following revelations related to Trump. However, the US Justice Department has declared all claims against Trump as false. The Justice Department states that the Epstein Files contain false and sensational claims about Trump. All these claims were submitted to the FBI before the 2020 election.

The US Justice Department has so far released more than 30,000 documents related to the Epstein Files. These files also mention US President Donald Trump. According to the Epstein Files, Trump traveled on Jeffrey Epstein's private jet in the 1990s.

What was revealed in the FBI report?

The FBI submitted a report on October 27, 2020, containing a statement from a former limousine driver. In this statement, the driver recounted a 1995 phone call between Trump and Epstein. He claimed he had eavesdropped on the conversation.

According to the report, an unidentified woman told Trump, "He raped me." The driver said the woman later contacted police and committed suicide in 2000.

The Justice Department responded

The US Justice Department issued a statement on Tuesday saying that many of the allegations against President Trump in certain documents are false. These allegations are baseless. If there were even a shred of truth in them, they would have been used against Trump by now.

What did Trump say?

Trump has also categorically denied any involvement in any wrongdoing related to the Epstein files. He says the opposition is trying to distract people from America's successes, and that is why the Epstein issue is being raised. Trump has claimed that he severed all ties with Jeffrey Epstein before his arrest in 2019.
