News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai arrived in Mahoba on Sunday (December 7th) to meet with the family of a teacher who died during the SIR campaign. Rai launched a scathing attack on the central and state governments over the increasing pressure to complete the SIR work within the deadline set by the Government of India and the Election Commission of India.
Ajay Rai visited Mahoba on Sunday to meet the family of a Shiksha Mitra engaged in SIR work who committed suicide. Rai stated that 13 workers have died in the state so far due to the arbitrary and overwhelming pressure of the SIR process, which is extremely worrying and painful.
Election Commission and the government are responsible for this tragedy – Ajay Rai
Ajay Rai stated that the Election Commission and the government are directly responsible for this tragedy, stating that Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to meet with Vladimir Putin to prevent the country's declining economy from becoming public knowledge.
Demand for compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family
Ajay Rai expressed deep sorrow over the death of Shankarlal Rajput, a teacher working on SIR work in Pwa village, Kabrai block, Mahoba. He demanded compensation of ₹1 crore and a government job for the victim's family.
Ajay Rai stated that the continuous work being carried out under government pressure is a blatant violation of human rights. He added that the SIR process should be set at least seven to eight months apart, to avoid unnecessary stress and life-threatening pressure on the workers.
Many questions raised on the government
During his conversation with reporters, Ajay Rai raised several serious questions about the government. He described the government's failure to arrange a meeting between Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and President Vladimir Putin during the Russian President's visit to India as a cover-up of its failures.
He said that the government is doing this to hide the declining economy of the country, because the meeting of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi with Vladimir Putin would have exposed the declining economy of the country.
What did Ajay Rai say on the Indigo issue?
He also criticized the central government regarding the aviation sector, saying that by granting Indigo Airlines a 64 percent monopoly, the government has left the aviation industry in a state of disarray. The public and passengers are bearing the brunt of this.
Ajay Rai alleged that the government was completely indifferent to public interest, the interests and sensitivities of employees. He warned that if the deaths of workers engaged in the SIR process were not taken seriously and the families of the victims were not given decent compensation, Congress would be forced to launch a major movement.
