News Topical, Digital Desk : Shaukat Ali, state president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), has made a major political statement regarding the upcoming assembly elections in 2027. He said that the Samajwadi Party currently has 111 MLAs, and that the SP won these seats with 90% Muslim votes. Despite this, the SP is not fighting the Muslim community's battles strongly.
Shaukat Ali said that even if AIMIM has 11 MLAs, they will vigorously raise the voice of their community. He alleged that caste-based encounters are taking place in the state. He said that when his party comes to power, it will fight for its people in a constitutional manner.
He stated clearly that the party is fully preparing for the 2027 elections and that its participation in the next government will be decided. On the question of alliances, Shaukat Ali stated that his party wants an alliance with the BSP and that they have a "natural alliance" with the BSP. He added that the social equation of "20 (Muslims) + 20 (Dalits) = 40" could lead to power.
Shaukal Ali called Chandrashekhar a good leader
Regarding an alliance with a Dalit leader, Shaukat said that Chandrashekhar is a good leader and works hard, but the situation regarding the alliance will become clearer in the future. He also ruled out any alliance with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying that Akhilesh and Shivpal Yadav have already stated that they do not want an alliance with the AIMIM.
AIMIM will participate in whichever government is formed in 2027 – AIMIM
Shaukat Ali expressed confidence that AIMIM will definitely participate in any government formed in 2027. Shaukat said that if no alliance is formed, he is prepared to contest 200 seats.
Mayawati has already refused the alliance.
Although BSP supremo Mayawati has already made it clear that she will contest the 2027 elections alone and will not form an alliance with any party, this demand from AIMIM has now intensified political turmoil in Uttar Pradesh.
