News Topical, Digital Desk : A SpiceJet flight from Hyderabad to Tirupati had to return due to a technical problem. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport said that the Hyderabad-Tirupati SpiceJet SG 2696 flight had departed from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. However, due to technical problems, it had to return and the plane landed safely at RGI Airport. Earlier, a technical fault was found in an Indigo plane. Indigo's flight was going from Delhi to Leh, which had to be re-landed at Delhi Airport after a technical fault occurred.

SpiceJet said that the plane did not make an emergency landing. The baggage door light was blinking intermittently. In such a situation, the pilot decided to return to Hyderabad as a precaution. All the passengers are safe and another plane has been arranged to take them to Tirupati.

What did SpiceJet say?

SpiceJet said, "On June 19, 2025, a SpiceJet Q400 aircraft operating a Hyderabad-Tirupati flight experienced intermittent illumination of the AFT baggage door light after take-off. The cabin pressure remained normal throughout. As a precaution, the pilots decided to return to Hyderabad. The aircraft landed safely and passengers were deplaned in a normal manner. The aircraft did not make an emergency landing. An alternate aircraft has been arranged to operate the onward journey to Tirupati."

IndiGo flight suffers technical snag

IndiGo flight 6E 2006 from Delhi to Leh had to return to Delhi due to technical reasons. After takeoff, some technical fault was found in the plane. After this, it was safely landed at Delhi airport. There were 180 people on board this plane including the pilot and crew members. IndiGo flight 6E 2003 took off from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport at 6.30 am. This plane was to land at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh. But just before reaching Leh, a technical fault was found in the plane. After assessing the situation, the pilot decided to bring the plane back to Delhi in view of safety.
