News Topical, Digital Desk : Bihar Crime News: A bike rider was brutally murdered in Ara, Bihar on Wednesday night. The miscreants committed the crime by beating him with sticks and iron rods. The incident is from Patkhauli village of Sikarhta police station area. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Rakesh Kumar. On receiving information about the incident, Piro SDPO KK Singh and other officials reached the spot.

The deceased's cousin Dilbahar Nirala said that on May 13, 2025, Rakesh's cousin Ratan Kumari's wedding procession came from Devchanda village. A dance program was also organized for the wedding guests. He said that during the program in the shamiana, the bullies came. They used casteist words and forced themselves on the wedding guests. The wedding guests were asked to sit down from the chairs. The bullies forcibly removed the wedding guests and sat on the chairs themselves. The elders of the house opposed the bullying.

The miscreants started beating the elderly. Rakesh, a resident of ward number 8 of Patkhauli, came to intervene. The goons quarreled with the cousin. Rakesh was also threatened to be killed within 24 hours. At around 10 pm, Rakesh went to Fatehpur market on his bike to give food to his cousin Ravi. The goons surrounded Rakesh on the way and threatened him once again. Rakesh also informed his cousin Ravi about the threat. After giving food to Ravi, Rakesh was returning to the village.

The goons who were lying in wait attacked Rakesh with an iron rod. Rakesh got injured after getting a head injury. He was also beaten with sticks and belts. To make it look like an accident, the goons fled after throwing Rakesh 100 meters away from the spot. The local people saw him in an injured state and informed his family.

case filed against six

Rakesh was immediately taken to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment. Rakesh died during treatment. Police reached the spot after getting information from the family and got the body post-mortem done. SDPO KK Singh said that initially the case seemed to be a road accident. He said that a named FIR has been lodged against six people. Police is investigating the case.
