News Topical, Digital Desk : Rewa Road Accident: A tragic accident took place in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh on Thursday (5 June). Here a truck loaded with cement overturned on an auto, due to which 7 people lost their lives. The condition of 2 injured people in this accident is said to be critical.

According to the police, the accident took place on National Highway-30 at around 2.30 pm when the autorickshaw passengers were returning after taking a bath in the Ganga river in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. The accident spot is about 70 km from the district headquarters.

The dead include
four children, two men and a woman. After receiving information about the incident, the police started a rescue operation and admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment.

Passengers got stuck in the auto.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vivek Lal said that a truck passing through National Highway-30 went out of control and overturned on an autorickshaw, due to which the passengers got stuck. He said that both the vehicles were badly damaged.

Four people died on the spot.
The police officer said that four people died on the spot, while three died later. The passengers in the autorickshaw were returning to Nayagarhi in Mauganj district bordering Rewa after taking a bath in the Ganga river in Prayagraj.

The truck was going from Prayagraj to Rewa
. The ASP said that the truck was going from Prayagraj to Rewa. He said that the deceased have been identified as Ramjeet Jaiswal (38), Pinky (35), Hiralal Jaiswal (65), Praveen (12), Ambika (8), Mansi (7) and Arvind (6). The police officer said that investigation is going on to find out whether the accident happened due to negligence or due to technical fault.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot. The police rescued the injured and took them to the hospital. Actually, the road where the accident happened in Sohagi is winding and cases of road accidents are often reported here.
