News Topical, Digital Desk : A labourer from Uttar Pradesh died after his throat was slit by a kite string in Telangana's Sangareddy district. The 38-year-old victim was a farm labourer while riding his bike to Fasalwadi village to buy vegetables.
Officials said preliminary investigations indicate the kite string was not Chinese manjha. Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj said prima facie it does not appear to be Chinese manjha; however, we will seek expert opinion and conduct a scientific investigation.
A police official said the kite string got entangled in the man's neck, causing a deep wound and bleeding. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, in Bidar, Karnataka, a bike rider's throat was slit by a Chinese string. He died on the spot. The deceased was identified as 48-year-old Sanjay Kumar Hossanmani, a resident of Bambulgi village, Bidar taluk.
The accident occurred near Talamadgi village in Chitguppa taluk when a Chinese thread lying on the road suddenly became entangled around his neck. He died on the spot from excessive bleeding after falling from his bike.
