News Topical, Digital Desk : In Keshavpuram, the wife of a retired spokesperson was murdered for resisting a robbery. The accused, Aryan alias Ishu Srivastava, a former acquaintance, entered the house saying a kite had fallen on the roof. After arresting the accused, the police recovered 153 grams of gold jewellery worth approximately Rs 26 lakh that had been stolen, based on his information. This jewellery was recovered from three different locations. The police are currently interrogating the accused.

In Keshavpuram, Awas Vikas Aghadi, Harendra Singh, a retired lecturer at the Bharatiya Vidyalaya, 55-year-old Nirmala's wife was robbed and murdered in broad daylight. Harendra Singh had gone to a medical store to buy medicine when the incident occurred. He learned of the incident upon his return.

Following the daylight robbery and murder, the DCP West, ADCP West, ACP, and Kalyanpur Inspector arrived at the scene with police forces. They investigated and checked nearby CCTV cameras. A forensic team and dog squad also arrived. CCTV footage captured a suspicious young man wearing an orange scarf entering the house and then exiting shortly afterward. The same sniffer dog went to the other end of the park, then back to the alley and then the road.

The police launched an investigation and questioned a dozen close associates of the elderly couple, including the boatman. The police arrested the accused youth from the Rawatpur area. Based on the accused's information, the stolen jewelry was recovered from three different locations.

The accused had planned the robbery a month earlier, and
had complete information about the couple. Investigation revealed that the accused had been living on rent at the other end of the park opposite the spokesperson's house for the past five years. He had planned the robbery about a month earlier, and that's when he vacated the house and started living in Rawatpur.

While living in Keshavpuram, he had met the spokesperson and his wife several times in the park. They knew him well, and he would spend hours chatting with them in the park. During this time, he became aware of their financial situation. Once, when he went to the spokesperson's house to get water, he saw Nirmala with jewelry, and his intentions were corrupted.
