News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has emerged from Gujarat. Videos from Rajkot's Payal Maternity Hospital have reached the pornographic market. This was due to a simple mistake by the hospital administration, which left the CCTV access password so simple that it became an easy target for hackers.

Hackers not only breached the hospital's CCTV system but also stole hours of intimate footage of women being examined in the gynecology ward. Furthermore, they then funneled this footage into an international pornographic fetish network for profit. This case has now become one of India's most disturbing cyber scandals.

Videos sold for Rs 700

The matter came to light when teaser clips of the hospital were shared on YouTube channels named Megha MBBS and CP Monda. Those interested in the videos were then asked to join a Telegram group. These videos were sold in this group for prices ranging from 700 to 4000 rupees.

Hackers maintained access to the hospital's systems for nearly a year. From January 2024 to December 2024, they exploited the system's vulnerability. It is reported that 50,000 such clips were stolen across the country in just nine months. The criminals were arrested in February 2025. Investigations revealed that the issue wasn't limited to Rajkot.

Similar incidents were confirmed in Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Surat, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. They targeted 20 states across the country, where CCTV systems in hospitals, schools, corporate houses, cinema halls, factories, and private residences were hacked. Investigations revealed that most of these CCTV systems used factory-set passwords such as admin123.
