The 25-year-old woman committed the crime on the evening of December 31st. She invited her lover to her home and attacked his private parts with a sharp knife. The man is currently hospitalized at Sion Hospital in Mumbai. The woman accused in this case is absconding.
Initial investigations by police revealed that the two were related. The accused woman is reportedly the sister-in-law of the victim's sister. They had reportedly been in a love relationship for the past six to seven years.
The investigation also revealed that the woman had been pressurising her lover to leave his wife for a long time, which led to a dispute between the two.
The woman hatched a dangerous conspiracy
Around 1:30 a.m. on December 31st, the woman lured him to her home on the pretext of giving him New Year's sweets. Her children were asleep at the time. Reportedly, she first asked the victim to remove his pants and then went to the kitchen to retrieve a vegetable knife.
She then suddenly attacked the victim's private parts. The victim suffered serious injuries. Police have registered a case and are searching for the absconding woman.
