Stretching exercises without getting up from bed (Morning Stretching)

knee to chest stretch

  • Lie down on your back.
  • Bend one knee and pull it towards your chest.
  • Stay in this position for a few seconds and then repeat with the other leg.

Side Stretch

  • Lie down on your left side.
  • Take your right hand over your head and rest it on the left side.
  • Stay in this position for a few seconds and then repeat on the other side.

Bridge

  • Lie down on your back.
  • Bend your knees and keep your feet hip-width apart.
  • Now raise your hips and become like a bridge.
  • Stay in this position for a few seconds and then come down.

Cat-Cow Pose

  • Sit down on your knees and hands.
  • Raise your back upward and form an arch (cat pose).
  • Then bend the back downwards (cow pose).
  • Similarly repeat the cat and cow pose again and again.

Spine Twist

  • Lie down on your back.
  • Keep both legs together by bending the knees.
  • Move the knees to one side and turn the head to the opposite direction.
  • Stay in this position for a few seconds and then repeat on the other side.

  • While stretching, do it slowly and stop immediately if you feel any kind of pain.
  • Repeat each exercise 3-5 times.
