News Topical, Digital Desk : Walking daily is very beneficial for health. Walking is very helpful in reducing weight, heart health, mental health and boosting energy. However, if you are making some mistakes while walking, even unknowingly, then it can harm your heart.

Yes, many times we unknowingly make some mistakes which can be harmful for the heart (Walking Mistakes Which Damage Heart). Let us know which mistakes should be avoided while walking.

walking too fast or too slow

It is very important to have the right speed while walking. If you walk too fast, it can suddenly increase your heart beat, which can be dangerous for the heart, especially for those who already have heart problems. On the other hand, if you walk too slowly, it does not strengthen your heart muscles.

Walking in wrong posture

Not having the right posture while walking can also affect the health of the heart. If you walk bent or in the wrong way, it  can cause breathing problems  and the lungs do not get the right amount of oxygen. This makes the heart work harder. One should walk standing straight, keeping the shoulders relaxed and looking forward.

Not warming up before walking

Suddenly starting a fast walk can increase the heart beat rapidly, which puts more pressure on the heart. To avoid this, do a light warm-up of 5-10 minutes before the walk, such as stretching or walking slowly. This gives both the body and the heart time to prepare for the exercise.

Walking with dehydration

Lack of water  affects blood pressure  and the heart has to work harder. One should drink the right amount of water before and after the walk, especially in summer. If you are taking a long walk, keep drinking water in between as well.

Take a brisk walk after a heavy breakfast

Some people start walking fast immediately after eating or breakfast, which can be harmful for the heart. After eating, most of the body's energy is spent in digesting the food. In such a situation, if you walk fast, the heart will have to work harder. After eating, wait for at least 30-45 minutes before walking and start at a slow pace.

Irregular walking routine

Some people do not walk for several days and then start walking for longer periods in a day. This irregularity is not good for the heart. To keep the heart healthy, one should walk for 30-45 minutes regularly.

Walking in a polluted or smokey area

If you walk in a place where there is a lot of vehicle smoke or pollution, it can be harmful for both your lungs and heart. Try to walk in a park or a green place and take a walk in the fresh air in the morning.
