The relations between India and China are getting heated again. Both the countries are working on various aspects of it. The leaders of both the countries are also talking to resolve the border dispute.

 

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping described India-China relations as 'dragon-elephant tango' and said that the neighbours should find ways to co-exist peacefully.

 

At the same time, he said that China is interested in talking to India on international issues. China is trying to increase coordination with India. At the same time, peace should be jointly maintained in the border areas.

 

What does 'dragon-elephant tango' mean?

 

Let us tell you that China is often associated with the dragon, because in Chinese culture the dragon is considered a powerful, lucky and auspicious creature, which symbolizes power, luck and success.

 

On the other hand, the elephant is associated with India for religious, cultural and historical reasons. Tango is an English word which means friendly relationship or dance. Xi Jinping said that he wants to improve relations with India.

 

Xi Jinping spoke to President Murmu

He said this while talking to Indian President Draupadi Murmu. Xi Jinping congratulated President Murmu on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China.

 

Describing India and China as ancient civilisations, Xi Jinping said both countries are major developing nations and important members of the Global South. He said both countries are "at a critical stage in their respective modernisation efforts."

 

Besides Xi Jinping and President Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also exchanged congratulatory messages, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said while responding to a question at a media briefing in Beijing.
