Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, who started his political journey as a grassroots worker from Muslim-dominated Moradabad in western Uttar Pradesh, is currently in charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state. Chaudhary, who belongs to the Jat community and has an RSS background, was a minister in the Yogi Adityanath-led government before assuming the post of BJP president about two and a half years ago.

Choudhary, who has a long experience of working in the government and the organization, claims that the NDA will not only cross 400 in the country, but will also have better results in Uttar Pradesh than before. Calling confusion, lies and corruption the identity of the Congress-SP and INDIAN alliance, Choudhary believes that

Looking at the work of Modi and Yogi government, the public is not going to fall for the propaganda of the opposition. For the development of the country and state as well as for the complete eradication of corruption, they have chosen Modi-Yogi in the past and will continue to do so in the future too.

Chaudhary clearly states that not giving tickets to Muslims is BJP's electoral strategy but there is no discrimination of any kind in all the beneficiary welfare schemes of our government. He says emphatically that BJP will neither allow the basic spirit of the Constitution to be tampered with nor will it allow Congress to give reservation to Muslims on religious basis.

Question: What is the position of NDA after four phases of voting?

I can clearly say that this time, crossing 400, the NDA government is going to be formed once again under the leadership of Modi ji.

Question- ...But SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is not giving you even 140 seats.

Akhilesh is making such statements to divert attention from public issues. Home Minister Amit Shah has said that we have got majority in four phases. On the basis of reports from the lower level of the organization, I can say that the results are in our favor. Akhilesh should wait for June 4 (the date of counting of votes).

Question: How many seats are expected to be won from UP in four phases?

Voting has been done on 39 seats of the state. BJP is contesting the elections under the leadership of Modi Ji. We are going among the people with a report card of the development and security work done by our government in 10 years. Looking at the faith of the people in Modi Ji-Yogi Ji, I can say that the great people of the state will definitely fulfill the resolution of BJP.

Question: Akhilesh says that the opposition alliance INDIAN will win more than 70 seats in UP.

I will only say that the people of Uttar Pradesh have not forgotten the kind of hooliganism, anarchy, atrocities against women, corruption that was there in the SP government led by Mulayam and Akhilesh. Their governments used to stand with the rioters. There was VIP culture in power supply which has been ended by the Yogi government and it is providing ample power to everyone. Farmers are getting free power. Now there is neither riot nor hooliganism and oppression of women. Poverty is decreasing due to the beneficiary-oriented schemes of the Modi government. Due to the work of electricity, water, roads, education, health, security etc., UP has emerged from a sick state and is after Maharashtra in terms of economy. Yogi's model of law and order is being discussed everywhere. In such a situation, the account of the opposition alliance does not seem to be opened.

What should be the meaning of the decrease in voter turnout compared to last time?

You saw the way the opposition carried out negative propaganda through the media, the face of Congress-SP has been exposed in the society. They kept taking votes of a particular class by scaring them but now everyone is alert. I would appeal to the people of the state to vote and choose a government that works for the development and security of the country.

Will Uttar Pradesh be Congress free this time?

The public will decide this but after losing Amethi, Rahul Gandhi went to Wayanad. Sonia Gandhi was also not seen in Rae Bareli after becoming an MP. These people have cheated and deceived the public. They are making all kinds of statements to confuse the public but not only the people of Amethi-Rae Bareli but the people of the whole country now understand their character and behavior. Now there is no possibility left for these people, that is why they are busy baking their political bread by setting a negative agenda but the public's faith is with Modi ji-Yogi ji.

Question: How much impact do you see the opposition alliance of INDIAN and SP's 'PDA' having?

These are family-oriented people. You see that the parties that used to do politics of nepotism have now turned to pure family-oriented politics. So many people from the SP family are contesting elections. There is no one else left to contest in their caste. Congress is also unable to move beyond family. From the Prime Minister, Chief Minister to our booth president, no one has taken a single hour's leave in the last 10 years, but you tell me what is the activity of the Congress party? Akhilesh Yadav came out of the AC when the elections came. I am confident that Modi ji will get the blessings of the people of the state and the resolution of the BJP will be fulfilled.

How much benefit are you getting from parties like RLD, Subhaspa, Nishad?

Our agenda is the development and betterment of the country and the state. We are going to take along with us all those who agree with our ideology and want to work with us.

Question: The opposition says that the BJP is diverting people's attention from unemployment and inflation through issues like Ram Mandir?

Ram Mandir has been a part of our Sankalp Patra but SP massacred the Kar Sevaks, Congress denied the existence of Lord Ram. Opposition alliance members make objectionable comments about Sanatan Dharma. They talk about pitting South India against North India. These people kept pursuing their agenda by creating tension, conflict and dispute on the basis of language in the society but now there is social harmony in the country. Under the leadership of Modi ji, people from Tamil Nadu to Kashmir, Cuttack to Kutch are standing with BJP everywhere.

Question- Akhilesh accuses BJP of neglecting the backward classes.

I have already said that these people are casteist and familyist. Whatever rights the backwards have, they have always limited them to their own community and family. I can say with confidence that the BJP has worked the most in the interest of the backwards.

Question: Do you see any benefit to BJP in BSP contesting the elections alone?

This is not a matter of profit or loss. BSP is a big political force under Mayawati's leadership. She is speaking to the public on the basis of her ideology and we are speaking on the basis of our thoughts and work. In a democracy, everyone has the right to go among the public.

Question: Is development and nationalism a bigger issue for getting votes or communal polarization?

Our issue is development and nationalism but communal polarization is done by SP and Akhilesh Yadav. Who talks about vote jihad? Who works to mislead the minorities? You see, the way Congress talks about reservation on religious basis in a conspiracy, it is clear that Congress is doing the work of division. Our resolution is that reservation for backward, deprived and tribal people will not be given to Muslims at any cost.

Question- BJP did not give ticket to any Muslim in UP this time too?

This is our election strategy but there is no discrimination in our government's schemes. With the resolve of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas', the Modi-led government has worked for the upliftment and development of 140 crore people of the country to build a developed India. The opposition definitely used to discriminate in government schemes for vote bank. Only SP-Congress does the work of appeasing the society.

Question: Those who voted for BJP in the name of Modi are also angry with the candidates.

There is a conspiracy of opposition parties behind this. The agenda of Congress-SP has always been to divide the country on the basis of caste, religion, region and language and keep doing politics but now the aware public is not going to get trapped in any conspiracy. They have to choose an MP as the representative of Modi ji. The people of the country are determined to make Modi ji the Prime Minister again.

Question: The opposition feels that the country's democracy is in danger.

-The biggest blow to democracy was done by Congress. How did they impose emergency in 1975? All of them are corrupt. People have chosen Modi Ji-Yogi Ji with the resolve to completely eradicate corruption. To end corruption, action will be taken against those who do wrong.

Question: Are 400 seats required to change the Constitution?

A large number of BJP representatives are from backward, SC and ST communities. I am also one of them. Why would we end our reservation? Congress people are the ones who will amend the constitution the most. In reality, these people are corrupt and are misleading people in this way to hide the corruption of their own people, but the public has now understood their character.

Question: The opposition is talking about ending reservation and giving reservation on the basis of religion.

There is no provision for reservation on the basis of religion in our Constitution. Congress has pointed this out in its manifesto and its state governments have also worked on it, but BJP will neither allow the basic spirit of the Constitution to be tampered with nor will it allow Congress to give reservation to Muslims on religious grounds.

The opposition is saying that they will end the Agneepath scheme for army recruitment?

Now, only they can tell whether their government will be formed or not but I can say that people do not trust Congress. Our government has taken all the decisions in the interest of the people and we stand by our decision.

Now Congress is talking about giving 10 kg of grain.

Why did Congress not give free food grains to the poor during its 70 years of rule? Today they are remembering to give 10 kg of food grains to the poor. These people are corrupt. It is not hidden from anyone how much corruption was prevalent in the ration system implemented for years. Weren't the Congress and SP workers eating the ration of the poor? Now the deserving are getting free ration without any discrimination or corruption. Actually, confusion, lies and corruption are the identity of the Congress-SP and INDIAN alliance.

Last question, will there be a change in the BJP organization after the elections?

Now it is up to the central party to decide. The national president's term is till June 30. After that whatever the central party decides will be done.
