Pappu Yadav Post: The central government has given a big shock to the people of Bihar, that too in the district where BJP minister and strong leader Giriraj Singh himself is. Actually, the Union Agriculture Minister has decided to shift the Regional Maize Research and Seed Production Center of the Indian Maize Research Institute located in Begusarai, Bihar to Shivamogga in Karnataka. The people of Bihar are angry about this. Now MP Pappu Yadav has also targeted Giriraj Singh regarding this.

Pappu Yadav posted on X and said, “Where is Giriraj Babu? He is going from Begusarai to Maize Research Center Shimoga. Who has stitched your mouth? You have a stature like a mountain, got a big post by grace, yet your one and a half inch tongue is not moving. You should have done your duty towards the debt of Begusarai's grace!”

Let us tell you that a few months ago it was decided that this centre of Begusarai will now be shifted to Karnataka. The Union Minister must have known about this, but despite being a minister at the Centre, he could not stop this regional maize research and seed production centre from going out of Bihar, this is why Pappu Yadav has targeted Giriraj Singh.

Regional Maize Research and Seed Production Centre was established in Begusarai on 4th May 1997. The centre has a total land area of 97.3 acres out of which 83 acres are for research and seed production. The centre also has good infrastructure facilities like spacious office complex with laboratories, tube wells for irrigation, residential quarters for technical and support staff on the farm, three tractors, necessary machinery and equipments etc.

The main activity here is to develop maize hybrids suitable for the eastern region of India and to produce parent seeds of experimental/public hybrids. Now this center has been shifted to Karnataka due to technical reasons and some constraints. This center of Begusarai will now move to Karnataka.
