The month of Ashwin has special significance in Sanatan Dharma. The major festival Sharadiya Navratri is celebrated in this month. The correct date of fasting and festivals
- Masik Shivratri is on 30th September. This festival is celebrated on Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha every month. On this day, Goddess Parvati is worshipped along with Lord Shiva.
- 01 October is the Chaturdashi of Pitru Paksha. On this day, tarpan and pinddaan will be performed for the ancestors a day before Sarvapitri Amavasya.
- Ashwin Amavasya is on 02 October. On this day is Sarvapitri Amavasya. Pitru Paksha ends on the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya. On this day the ancestors return to their world.
- The last solar eclipse of the year is going to take place on October 02. However, this eclipse will not be visible in India. Sutak will also not be valid for this. However, be careful during the eclipse.
- Sharadiya Navratri will begin from October 03. On this auspicious occasion, Ghatasthapana will be done and Shailputri, the first form of the goddess of the world, Maa Durga, will be worshipped.
- October 4 will be the second day of Sharadiya Navratri . On this auspicious occasion, Maa Brahmacharini, the second form of the goddess of the world, Maa Durga, will be worshipped.
- October 5 will be the third day of Sharadiya Navratri. On this auspicious occasion, the third form of the goddess of the world, Maa Chandraghanta, will be worshipped.
- October 6 will be the fourth day of Sharadiya Navratri. On this auspicious occasion, the fourth form of the goddess of the world, Maa Kushmanda, will be worshipped. Vinayak Chaturthi is also on this day.
