The Dirty Picture actress Vidya Balan shared this story in a conversation with Filmfare. She told that when she met Vidhu Vinod before the shooting, he asked her to get a nose surgery done. She got scared after hearing this. According to the actress, “He told me, your nose is very long. Let's get a surgery done. I got scared. I said, I am not going to do this.”
The actress had reached the director to ask for help
Vidya Balan said, "And I will tell you why, because till date I have not even touched my face. I get facials done once in a while. I am very particular that whatever is, it is. God has given it to me, it is very good." She further told that after Vidhu said this, she went to director Pradeep Sarkar and asked him to explain to the producer. Pradeep Sarkar asked Vidhu not to get it done.
The actress cried a lot when her name was changed
Vidya Balan narrated an anecdote that she had changed her name from Balan to Iyer for a Malayalam film. She cried a lot for this, then her parents explained it to her. When this film did not work. She said, "So I was very sure that if there is a work that I am not comfortable doing, then it will definitely not be successful."
