News Topical, Digital Desk : Organising a PDA Pathshaala in a government school proved costly for SP MLA from Raniganj Assembly in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Deputy Chief Whip in the Assembly, Dr. RK Verma. After the MLA started a PDA Pathshaala in Narayanpur Kala Primary School of Gaura Block and made its video viral, a case has been registered against him in Fatanpur police station on the complaint of the Block Education Officer.

The police have registered an FIR against SP MLA RK Verma, Sher Bahadur Yadav, Amarpal Yadav, and unknown persons under sections 329(4), 189(2), and 127(2) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). Along with this, the school headmaster Brijesh Singh has been suspended for negligence, and notices have been issued to two Shiksha Mitras.

Let us tell you that the primary school Narayanpur Kala located in Gaura block of Raniganj assembly of Pratapgarh was closed under the school merger policy. SP MLA RK Verma organized a PDA Paathshala in this closed school on Wednesday. It is alleged that the MLA along with his supporters broke the lock of the school gate, gathered the children of the village and nearby areas, and started the Paathshala by putting up posters of SP and PDA.

During this, books, copies, and pencils were distributed to the children, and classes were started with prayers. A video of this event was made and made viral on social media, after which there was a stir in the Basic Education Department.

Case filed for spreading rumours

On the complaint of Block Education Officer Gaura, the police registered a case against the MLA and his supporters accusing them of misusing government property, illegal admission in the school, and spreading rumors against the school merger policy.

ASP (East) Shailendra Lal said that a case has been registered against three people on the complaint of the Block Education Officer. It is alleged that they forcibly entered the school, gathered the children and organized a program. Legal action is underway in the case.

Headmaster suspended,Notice to Shiksha Mitras

In the investigation, the school's headmaster Brijesh Singh was found guilty of negligence. On the orders of the DM, Basic Education Officer Bhupendra immediately suspended him, and a departmental inquiry has been initiated. Apart from this, a notice has been issued to two Shiksha Mitras for participating in the PDA Pathshala event and a reply has been sought. The BSA said that under the school merger policy, such events in closed schools are illegal and will be considered misuse of government property.
