News Topical, Digital Desk : Thousands of families who have spent crores of rupees and settled in Greater Noida West high rise society with the hope of a modern lifestyle are now facing a crisis of basic amenities. Around 7,000 families in Supertech Eco Village-1 society, who are already facing the problem of power cuts and basement waterlogging, are now also facing water shortage.

It is worth mentioning that the water supply was disrupted since Friday night, water supply in many towers of the society was completely disrupted. The situation remained the same till Saturday morning. Due to power cuts, the water pumps stopped working, due to which the water tanks could not be filled. In this situation, people were seen standing with buckets in the line of tankers, while some were forced to buy water bottles from the market to fulfill their domestic needs.

Tanker arrangements also proved inadequate

Residents Sanjay Sharma and Ranjana Suri Bhardwaj said that people are already troubled by waterlogging in the basement after rain and irregularity of electricity. Now the situation has worsened due to stoppage of water supply. Even the tankers called by the builder were not sufficient. The negligence of the management has put people in a whirlpool of problems.

Builder and arrangements under question

The situation has become such that people are forced to stand in line and fill water in buckets. The elderly, women and children living in the towers are especially troubled. Many families said that they are facing difficulty even in cooking food. People say that the management should have been prepared for such an emergency situation in advance. Despite repeated complaints, no permanent solution is found. The people of the society are now pleading for help from the RWA and the authority.

The condition of this society in Greater Noida West clearly shows that urban life does not improve only with tall buildings and luxury names. When basic necessities like water and electricity are not available on time, the justification of such flats and investments comes under question. There is a need for the authority and the builder management to come together and find a permanent and quick solution to these problems, so that the residents are not deprived of basic facilities.
