Due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, the weather has become pleasant and tourists are enjoying it to the fullest, but this snowfall is creating problems for the administration. Hundreds of tourists got stranded due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh on Friday night. The police and administration had to work hard to take them to safe places. Finally, the tourists were accommodated in hotels and people's homes. About 1200 vehicles were stranded between Atal Tunnel and Solang Valley.

During the winter season, a large number of tourists reach Manali to enjoy snowfall. Due to the increase in the number of tourists during the holiday season, the challenges of the administration are also increasing.

Vehicles stuck in Manali

On Friday, about 1200 vehicles were stuck between Atal Tunnel and Solang Valley from afternoon to late night. The jam continued till 11 pm. At the same time, 150 tourists got stuck in Maling Nala, near the China-occupied Tibet border. About 150 tourists who had gone to visit Kaza in Lahaul Spiti, got stuck on the border of Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti when there was heavy snowfall on the mountains on both sides. Himachal Pradesh Police rescued all the tourists safely. They have been accommodated in people's homes and hotels in the villages of Yangthang, Nako and Chango. Snowfall continues in the valley.

 

134 roads closed in Himachal Pradesh

Due to continuous snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, 134 roads have been closed for traffic. Traffic on these roads will resume only after the weather improves. According to the State Emergency Operations Center, the maximum 77 roads are closed in Shimla district. Apart from this, 65 transformers got damaged, affecting power supply in the entire state. After the rain, snowfall continues in many areas of Himachal. There is no possibility of getting relief from cold here in the coming days.
