Kushinagar News: Due to heavy rains in Nepal, the rivers are in spate, the effect of which is now being seen in UP as well. Nepal has released 5 lakh 62 thousand cusecs of water from the Valmiki Barrage into the big Gandak river 'Narayani', due to which the river is flowing in full spate. Nepal opened all the gates of the Valmiki Barrage, due to which the Gandak river is completely flooded. This is the first time in the last 56 years that such a large amount of water has been released. 

For the last two days, there has been heavy rainfall in the plains and hilly areas of Nepal, due to which flood situation has arisen in the surrounding areas. Seeing the flow of the river, the people living nearby are also very scared. The administration has asked everyone to go to safer places. Instructions have also been given to evacuate the low-lying areas.

Due to the water released from Nepal, villages like Shivpur, Basantpur Hariharpur, Narayanpur, Marchhawan, Bakulha, Balgovind, Chhapra etc. of Khadda area have been flooded. Many nearby villages have been submerged in water. Due to which the life of the people has also been disrupted. River water has entered the houses. 

The administration has also come on alert mode due to the water released in the Gandak river. The administration has deployed SDRF teams in the affected areas. Flood posts have been set up around the flood affected areas. So that people can be given help as soon as possible. Thousands of acres of land have come under the grip of flood. At the same time, many villages have also lost contact. 

Due to the increase in the water level of the Kosi river, all 56 gates of its barrage were opened on Saturday. On Saturday morning, 4.80 lakh cusecs of water was discharged from the Kosi barrage. The water level of the river is constantly rising. Due to which there is a danger. The administration is constantly appealing to the people to be cautious. People have been banned from going to the surrounding areas.
