Kanpur Train Accident: After many other parts of the country, now a conspiracy to overturn a train by placing a gas cylinder on the railway track has taken place in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. A conspiracy was hatched to overturn a goods train there. LPG gas cylinders were placed on the Delhi-Howrah railway track coming from Kanpur to Fatehpur.

The LPG cylinder was kept on the loop line near Prempur railway station in Kanpur. This incident happened at 5.50 am. The loco pilot and assistant loco pilot stopped the goods train by applying emergency brakes. The railway employees present in the train informed the RPF and other people of the department about this. 

In the pictures that have surfaced from the site of the incident, it can be seen that an empty 5 kg cylinder was kept on the railway track. Due to the alertness of the pilot and co-pilot, the conspiracy to overturn the train failed. The railway has ordered an inquiry into this incident. In this regard, PRO Amit Singh of Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway Zone has given information.

Two incidents happened earlier,
however, even before this, a rail accident has been averted twice in the last few weeks in Kanpur. Once a truck overturned on the track, after which the track was blocked for several hours. Last month, a heavy boulder was placed on the track, after which 22 coaches of the train derailed. This accident also happened at night. However, there was no loss of life in this accident. 

After these incidents, CM Yogi Adityanath had said that in the last few days there have been indications of a conspiracy to damage the railway tracks or cause a railway accident. Some people have also been arrested. This is a very serious matter. Zone and range level police officers should maintain constant contact with the GRP and RPF forces of their area. Increase intelligence and take strict action against every anarchist element involved in this big conspiracy.
