New Delhi: Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who made controversial remarks on Sanatan Dharma, has been promoted from minister to deputy chief minister of the state. The state's DMK government has made many other major changes in the cabinet on Saturday. V Senthil Balaji has returned to the state cabinet. Dr. Govi ​​Chezhiyan, R Rajendran and SM Nasar have also been included in the council of ministers.

Three ministers, including Mano Thangaraj, who handled the dairy development department, have been removed from the new cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers will be held at Raj Bhavan on Sunday, September 29 at 3:30 pm.

According to a release issued by the Raj Bhavan, Governor RN Ravi on Saturday approved the recommendations of Chief Minister MK Stalin for cabinet reshuffle. The CM had recommended to the Governor to allocate the Planning and Development Department to Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in addition to his existing departments and nominate him as Deputy Chief Minister.

He had said that it is necessary to eradicate it from its roots. After this, cases were registered against him at many places across the country. On the other hand, Senthil was granted bail by the Supreme Court in the money laundering case just two days ago.
