News Topical, Digital Desk : On April 2, 2026, Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated across the country. It is said that in Kaliyuga, Bajrangbali is the only deity who is still present on earth. He quickly hears the cries of his devotees, which is why he is called "Sankat Mochan."
But did you know that chanting mantras isn't enough to please Hanuman, but offering him his favorite things is also crucial? If your troubles seem to be unending or your work seems to be going wrong, then on this birthday, be sure to offer these five special things to Hanuman:
1. Boondi or Gram Flour Laddoo
Hanuman ji is very fond of the colors yellow and orange. Bundi or gram flour laddus are often offered as Prasad in temples. It is said that offering gram flour laddus reduces the inauspicious effects of planets in the horoscope and brings happiness and prosperity to the home.
2. Jaggery and gram
This is considered the simplest and most beloved offering to Lord Hanuman. Offering jaggery and roasted gram is a surefire remedy for relief from Mangal Dosh. Since ancient times, there has been a tradition of feeding jaggery and gram to monkeys, which is considered a direct service to Lord Hanuman.
3. Sindoor and Jasmine Oil
Although it is not edible, worshipping Lord Hanuman is considered incomplete without it. Offering 'chola' (a sacred thread) to Lord Hanuman by mixing vermilion with jasmine oil is said to please him immensely. This increases self-confidence and repels negative energies.
4. Betel leaf (sweet betel leaf)
If you are stuck in a serious problem and can't seem to find a way out, offer a sweet betel leaf to Lord Hanuman. The betel leaf should contain only gulkand, fennel, and catechu (no tobacco or betel nut). Offering a betel leaf symbolically signifies that you have handed over the "beedi" (the burden) of your problems to Lord Hanuman.
5. Banana offering
Bananas are Bajrangbali 's favorite fruit. On Hanuman Jayanti, visit a temple and offer a pair of bananas to Hanuman. This is not only good for your health but also demonstrates your simple devotion to the deity.
These remedies and offerings are described in our ancient texts, such as the Skanda Purana and the Sundarkand of the Ramcharitmanas. The scriptures state that Hanuman, besides being a devotee of devotion, is also easily pleased by his favorite foods. According to the Bhavishya Purana, Bajrangbali himself protects the devotee who selflessly offers these sacred items to him.
